Return to Flying heading for the 800 REV mark

The Return to Flying (REV) scheme, launched in 2018 by the FFPLUM, has passed 720 flights since the start of the year, including more than 650 between 11 and 29 May 2020 alone, that is, since the end of lockdown. The federation encourages this approach, which involves paying part of the cost of a refresher session with an instructor to get back in control of one's aircraft. For the occasion, the grant has been specially raised from €40 to €60 per session and the scheme renamed "REV+".
It is in the microlight spirit "the French way", that is, in an approach based on everyone's sense of responsibility, that this scheme for a gradual and safe return to flying is set. It is on this basis that your federation supports dual flights for instruction and in the interest of our members, pilots, instructors, club presidents, managers of clubs and schools...
As Jean-Christophe Gibert (head of the federation's Safety and Training Division) reminds us: "Lack of practice combined with the euphoria of flying again is a dangerous mix, and particularly accident-prone. Every pilot must be able to manage their own return to flying."
