News from 28 November 2021. It has not been updated since it was published: some information may have changed. Latest news

On 27 and 28 November 2021, the presidents of the Regional Microlight Committees met at the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) in Paris for a seminar organised by the Federation. The presidents could be accompanied by a member of their Committee.

The health situation had not allowed the presidents of the CRULMs to meet in person for a very long time. Work was still able to continue thanks to videoconference meetings. However, nothing replaces meeting face to face to work as effectively as possible.

Welcoming the new presidents

In 2021, in the elections within the Regional Committees, 5 new presidents were elected. This seminar allowed them to introduce themselves, to meet the other presidents in person for the 1st time and to discuss the missions and roles within the Regional Committees.

Major topics

The weekend was very studious, with a busy programme covering many topics, punctuated by discussion time. They included the microlight theory exam, the new thematic regional leads, the federal project across the different themes, how the Federation and its bodies work, and current issues affecting our activities in the regions.

Decisions for the future

This seminar was very instructive for everyone. The Regional Committees Steering Group (GPCR) will soon meet in person at the Federation’s head office. A next meeting of the Regional Committees is planned for spring 2022.
