A training partnership with Aerogligli

More than a year ago, following the order (available by clicking here), the DGAC entrusted us with the delegation of the common theory exam. This delegation is now running smoothly, and the theory exam can be taken at about 50 federation structures evenly spread across the country. Around 1 700 theory exams have been taken, in conditions of proximity, availability and welcome that contrast with the previous arrangement, which relied on about ten centres across all the DSACs. This roll-out is a joint success for the DGAC and the Federation, which is taking charge of a decisive aspect of training in close liaison with the authorities, something that requires great trust and great integrity in the system.
This practical aspect, however, hides what really matters, which is the overhaul of the knowledge syllabus, modernised and simplified around the needs of the microlight pilot. The required knowledge is covered by many rich and varied publications, but there was still no federal training framework in line with the new syllabus that would allow candidates to prepare in the best conditions with their club and instructor. The Federation has therefore entered into a partnership with AEROGLIGLI, a well-known and respected provider of online training.
From March, this partnership will give all structures, and the club’s instructors, access to a dedicated area on AEROGLIGLI with content developed from the new syllabuses. Members will benefit from a 30% discount on subscriptions. At first, the training will cover the common theory; from September it will extend to the specific knowledge syllabus for each microlight class. The partnership provides for further developments (BIA, refresher courses, etc.).
Together, it all forms a coherent whole: an adapted syllabus, a network based on our structures across the regions, and modernised resources. Thank you to everyone who has worked on this fine project, which is growing and making our movement more independent and responsible, with its main players at its heart: its club presidents and its instructors.
