The international microlight show

Organised by the federation since 2021 at Blois-Le Breuil aerodrome, the international microlight show brings together manufacturers, pilots who fly in and the public around the six classes.

The Mondial de l’ULM is the international ultralight aviation show, organised by the French Microlight Federation at Blois-Le Breuil aerodrome, in Loir-et-Cher. It continues the Blois microlight show, which began in 1981.

Its three aims, as set out by the federation: to bring together the whole microlight family through its six classes, to showcase the diversity and creativity of manufacturers and equipment makers, and to share in a festive gathering, a place to meet and exchange practices.

History

From Blois 1981 to the Mondial de l’ULM

Based on the editorial “Blois, and then what?” and the federation’s announcements.

  1. 1981

The Blois microlight show began at the aerodrome, almost at the same time as the federation. Christian Lhomme created it and organised it with the CORULM association until 2009.

  2. 2004

After a detour via the Onzain airfield, the show returned to Blois aerodrome, of which the Département became the manager in 2007.

  3. 2009

Jean-Marie Carré, who joined CORULM in 1990, took over the organisation with the Pélicans association.

  4. 2019

During the show, the Loir-et-Cher Département and the federation announced that the federation would take over the organisation, to make Blois “a renewed, broader, accessible festival”.

  5. 2021

First Mondial de l’ULM organised by the federation, in the year of its 40th anniversary.
