Training Tutorial: The last turn
Here is the 3th and last training tutorial of the season. It covers the last turn, a manoeuvre not to be neglected in the landing phase. The last turn, from the base leg to lining up on final, can indeed prove risky if certain parameters are not respected, namely too low a speed combined with too steep a bank and loss of symmetry when going for the runway centreline. Here, in pictures, is a reminder of the procedures, explained as usual with simplicity and a teaching approach. It is in no way an online course. Always refer to your machine’s manufacturer’s manual and to your instructor’s recommendations.

Training Tutorial : The Pre-flight
The pre-flight inspection is a major and essential act for every pilot before getting into their machine. This film presents the broad outline of the pre-flight, while describing a few features specific to different microlight classes, including the weight-shift microlight, three-axis, gyroplane and paramotor (the four classes with the most pilots). It is in no way an online course. Always refer to your machine’s manufacturer’s manual and do not hesitate to contact the French Microlight Federation (the safety manual can be downloaded at www.ffplum.fr).
Happy and safe flying to everyone!
Training Tutorial: Engine failure in open country
Here is the “engine failure in open country” tutorial, which covers the basics of handling this type of incident. It is important to tell the difference between everyday “flying” and “training” to handle abnormal situations. The training tutorials are not meant to replace contact with your instructor, the only person trained and able to support you in practising such exercises. They are there simply to make you stop and think and to make questioning yourself easier, an attitude that is necessary and indispensable for every pilot, whatever type of aviation they fly.
Practise, that is what REV is for!
