Opening of the sporting season at Chenay

The first competition of the season took place on the weekend of 13 April at Chenay, in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The paramotor competitors were delighted to be back together after the winter break. The weather was on our side for the 10 registered crews.

Sandra Moreels, a regular on the competition circuit, was there and tells us about the atmosphere of the weekend. Don't hesitate to sign up for the next competitions through your member area. We can never say it enough: competition is not just a race for a medal, but the best way to progress safely!

The sun kept its appointment with the wings at Chenay on the weekend of 13 April, where enthusiasts and competitors met for the first paramotor competition of the season. 10 crews took part in the events devised by race director Pascal Vallée: a precision landing, two navigation tasks of 40 km each, in which they had to show a sense of direction and sharp eyes to spot photos, and a round of inflation and wing handling that offered a magnificent, colourful spectacle.

Beyond the competition, the warm atmosphere and friendly welcome of Thierry Charrier's club made a lasting impression. Meals were laid on, and a magnificent barbecue, registered with the aerodrome's letters, closed the day.

In addition to the action on the field, the commentary and explanations given by Pascal Vallée added an enriching dimension to the event.

Before and after the events, the perfect weather allowed everyone to take off for the simple pleasure of flying, giving moments of freedom and play above the landscapes of Chenay.

In short, this sunny weekend at Chenay will remain in people's memories as an experience to repeat. All the pilots, including those discovering competition for the first time, went home delighted. We can't wait for the next edition!
