In Sarzeau, in Morbihan, Christophe Charon wanted to give his time to thank them. Following a prize draw, 3 members of the town of Sarzeau were able to take a microlight trial flight. All 3 Franck, Jean-Yves and Sylvain greatly enjoyed their flight.
This Wednesday, it was Gaëtanne and Vincent who got their gyroplane trial flight. These employees of the Sarzeau care home were drawn by lot by the residents of the home.
The initiative was launched by Georges Humeau and the Chambley Microlight Club during lockdown (see video). It consisted of offering air trial flights to people who had fought Covid-19 - carers, care home staff, supermarket cashiers... The initiative was shared across France. In Meaux, more than 500 trial flights were offered to the staff involved. In all, 350 flights were offered to carers, 75 to cashiers and 75 others to waste collectors.
These initiatives multiplied across France in many microlight clubs. The Federation thanks everyone who helped make these solidarity flights happen.
