Step by step

Set up, affiliate, run a club

From registering the association to affiliation: the steps and the documents the federation provides.

  1. Setting up the association

To be affiliated to the FFPLUM, your club must be set up as what is known as an “1901 Act association”.

Special mention should be made of one of the most important principles: an 1901 association is prohibited from sharing or distributing profits for the benefit of its members.

Setting up an association and creating facilities

  2. Creating the facilities

If you are not at an aerodrome, you will need to create a microlight airfield or a microlight seaplane base.

  3. Affiliating to the federation

2 members of the executive board (including the president) must be FFPLUM members (write their licence numbers on the registration form), and everything must be sent to the federal secretariat.

    An association club

    • Complete the registration form provided for this purpose
    • A copy of the association’s registration at the prefecture and/or of its publication in the Journal officiel
    • The minutes of the general assembly
    • A copy of the statutes and the internal rules
    • A cover letter explaining the affiliation request
    • The signed associations charter

    A commercial structure

    • Complete and sign the registration form
    • A K-bis extract and a copy of the statutes
    • The certificate of declaration to the Ministry of Sports as a physical and sports activity establishment (if held)
    • The approval order for the airfield used, or the use agreement if the aerodrome is open to public air traffic (CAP) or restricted
    • A cover letter explaining the affiliation request
    • The signed charter for profit-making organisations

The complete file is sent to the federal secretariat.

Affiliation of clubs and commercial structures

  4. Running the club

The National Sports Agency (ANS) supports structures in developing sporting activities through a campaign called “PSF grants” (Federal Sports Project).

Directory

Find a club or a school

724 structures are affiliated to the federation. Choose a département: the list of clubs and schools opens, with the instructors alongside.

The list comes from the federation’s licence software: it will appear as soon as the structures have been imported into the new site. Until then, each département offers its regional committee, the head office and the microlight airfields located there.
