The committee's text
The Airspace and Discipline committee liaises between the FFPLUM and the civil and military authorities on airspace and breaches of overflight rules. This page brings together its information: the areas to know about, your regional representatives, discipline and incident reporting.

Your regional representatives: the CCRAGALS
Created by an order of 1 December 2005, the regional advisory committees for general aviation and light and sport aviation (CCRAGALS) are responsible for giving an opinion on proposals to create, change or permanently remove:
- controlled airspaces, prohibited areas, restricted areas, danger areas, temporary reserved areas (TRA), temporary segregated areas (TSA) and cross-border areas (CBA);
- locations for recreational and sporting light aviation activities subject to aeronautical publication, covering the airspace between the ground and an altitude of 3 500 metres above sea level (flight level 115), as well as the portions of uncontrolled airspace for VFR flights located above that altitude.
The members who represent the FFPLUM are appointed by the committee head, on the proposal of the regional committees concerned. These representatives are also consulted when temporary airspaces are set up (military exercises, sporting events requiring airspace segregation, etc.). They can request changes to airspace or timings, for example. They can therefore inform you before the official information is published. Finally, they pass on to the authorities any problems caused by a change in airspace, permanent or temporary.
Discipline
Civil aviation flight crew holding a non-professional aeronautical qualification who are found to have breached the rules laid down to ensure safety by the Civil Aviation Code and the texts adopted for its application are liable to disciplinary sanctions. Depending on the offence, this procedure may be accompanied by criminal proceedings. The two procedures are entirely independent of each other.
In the administrative procedure, penalties can range up to a reprimand or withdrawal (or suspension) of the right to fly.
Nationally recognised federations appoint their representatives, full or deputy. In mainland France, La Réunion and all three regions of Guadeloupe, Guyane and Martinique, an FFPLUM member therefore sits on the disciplinary committees for non-professional flight crew.
